Welcome to Racqueteers. . .
The Racqueteers Tennis Club is a group of ladies who love playing tennis, enjoy each others company and have many interests in common. The club has 60 active tennis players and about 20 associate members. The associate members are former active players who no longer participate in the regular tennis play days but enjoy coming to the Racqueteer social functions. The Club organizes morning play days on Mondays and Saturdays and on Thursdays for more competitive play. In addition, the club sponsors two USTA teams for seniors.
The Racqueteers have two tennis tournaments a year: a Fall Tournament for members only and a Spring Tournament for members and Racqueteer subs. Each tournament is followed by social time and lunch. To top off each year, the members gather for the Holiday Luncheon and general meeting. Besides renewing friendships and enjoying the company of fellow Racqueteers, after the lunch we elect our President and Board of Directors for the following year.
How can you become a Racqueteer? Two current members must sponsor you. You submit the application form (found on this website) and your name will be added to our substitute player list. Members will call you when they need a sub and you will receive points each time you play. At the end of the year, the subs with the most points will be asked to join the Club and will be introduced at the Holiday Luncheon.

How we got started . . .
In the summer of 1976, a dozen Canada College coeds who didn't want to quit playing tennis just because school was out, agreed to meet Tuesday and Thursday mornings at the college's nine courts and play round robin tennis. Their only rule, "If you can't come, send a sub." That group of 12 grew to 60 active members who are known as the Racqueteers. Some of the original Racqueteers are still active members!
Our organization is a wonderful example of a unique association of community tennis players. It shows what a lasting bond the great game of tennis can form . . . for Fun, Fitness, Friendship and Forever!
